RISING RAPUTRE + THA STATES LOGOS

I just finished completing a logo design for Tha States, a hip hop crew from Brooklyn. I got the work as a referral from the another logo design i did for the urban film production company, Rising Rapture. Tha States wanted an updated version to the logo they were already using and this is what I came up with.

Here’s the Rising Rapture logo I did.

Use can see the Rising Rapture logo on their Youtube channel (Click Screenshot below).

CUSTOM USB DRIVES

I enjoyed this post from designspongeonline.com about My Life Scoop: 25 Cool USB Drives. There are alot of awesome usb designs out there and this post highlighted some pretty awesome ones.

Custom USB Drives are an amazing way to promote your company and give clients something that you know they will use. I thought I would show a few of the custom USB Drives I’ve designed for work.

Here’s one for AOL. Obviously no real design work here, it’s just the AOL running man logo. I did do the layout work for production. The final product came out great.

These are a few illustrations for custom USB Drives I did for sales pitches. Not really sure if they were ever produced. I designed the ship USBs for Norwegian Cruise Lines new ship, EPIC. We showed a white polycarbonate and a clear rubber option that would light up when plugged in. The World Fuel USB used their logo to determine the shape. I pulled the torch from the NYU logo to create the mockup of their USB.

I also did the design layout for this Chiquita banana USB. Pretty clever!

SOMETHING LEFT, SOMETHING TAKEN

Check out this awesome animation from Tiny Inventions.Tiny Inventions is the husband and wife team of Max Poter and Ru Kuwahata. There are so many animation techniques in this short film from stop motion, hand drawn 2d, and even puppetry. Great storyline too. Check out the behind the scenes cuts on their site.

REGGAE ON THE RIVER

Finished another freelance job. It’s another promo flyer, except this time, instead of a club, it’s a BOAT! Client was happy with the design. I’m happy with the product especially considering the time constraint I had to work with.

SORRENTI CHERRY VALLEY VINEYARDS

I was able to enjoy a long weekend in the Poconos. Always nice to get away from the city. While I was out there, I took at tour and wine tasting of the Sorrenti Family Vineyards. It’s a small vineyard apart of the Cherry Valley in Stroudsburg, PA. Gaines a little knowledge of the wine making process. Saw this antique wine press.

Also got to see the bottle filling station, where obviously, they fill the bottles with wine but also slap the labels on.

Barrels and Barrels of wine.

Didn’t get to see the full vineyard, but they had some small vines out front.

It was a cool little experience. Makes me consider a Napa Valley trip. I’m in need of a vacation bad.

PAPER X-MEN

I posted about some paper character models a while back (Click here to see post), and I recently found this blog from a guy who has dedicated his site to paper models of characters from the Marvel Universe.

I thought the first models I saw were great, but these models blow them out of the park. Not only are the characters more complex, but some of them come with backgrounds and display stands, all made of paper.

All characters, have templates available for download, so that you can create your own. So definitely, check out his site, My Paper Heroes.
